Countdown to the 139th Canton Fair: Opens April 15 in Guangzhou with 8 New Product Zones

The 2026 Spring Canton Fair will open on April 15, with approximately two weeks remaining until the exhibition.

Guangzhou News – The 139th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will officially open on April 15, 2026, at the Pazhou Exhibition Hall in Guangzhou. This year’s fair will feature an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, 75,500 booths, and will attract over 30,000 domestic and international enterprises.

Approximately Two Weeks to Go; Overseas Buyer Pre-registration Exceeds 170,000

Today is April 3, 2026 – 12 days remaining until the Canton Fair opens. According to He Yadong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, as of April 1, the number of pre-registered overseas buyers has exceeded 170,000, of which over 120,000 are from Belt and Road Initiative partner countries. A total of 279 leading enterprises have confirmed their participation as group buyers, including well-known companies such as Walmart (USA), Sainsbury’s (UK), and Samsung Electronics (South Korea).

Three-Phase Exhibition Arrangement

This year’s Canton Fair will continue to be held in three phases, each lasting 5 days. Business negotiation hours are from 9:30 to 18:00 daily.

Phase 1: April 15–19, 2026

Focusing on “Advanced Manufacturing,” the main exhibits include electronic appliances, industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, processing machinery and equipment, power and electrical equipment, general machinery, new energy vehicles and smart mobility, vehicles and parts, lighting products, hardware tools, and more. The Service Robot zone will continue to be featured, with four new product zones: smart wearables, display technology, consumer-grade drones, and agricultural drones.

Phase 2: April 23–27, 2026

Themed “Quality Home Furnishings,” the main exhibits include daily-use ceramics, kitchen and tableware, household items, glass crafts, home decorations, garden products, festive items, building and decorative materials, sanitary ware, furniture, and more. New zones include bamboo and wooden tableware, bamboo and wooden household items, prefabricated houses and courtyard facilities.

Phase 3: May 1–5, 2026

Centered on “Better Life,” the main exhibits include toys, baby and maternity products, men’s and women’s clothing, underwear, sportswear, shoes, bags and suitcases, home textiles, office supplies, medical and healthcare products and devices, food, sports and leisure products, and more. A new zone for functional and technical fabrics will be introduced.

Eight New Product Zones Debut

This year’s Canton Fair closely follows the trends of “New, Green, and Smart.” While continuing to feature high-tech zones such as Service Robots and Smart Healthcare, the fair will launch eight brand-new product zones:

  • Phase 1: Smart Wearables, Display Technology, Consumer-grade Drones, Agricultural Drones

  • Phase 2: Bamboo and Wooden Tableware, Bamboo and Wooden Household Items, Prefabricated Houses and Courtyard Facilities

  • Phase 3: Functional and Technical Fabrics

Multiple Innovative Measures to Enhance Service Experience

This year’s Canton Fair will introduce over 100 innovative measures. For the first time, the fair will launch a “Canton Fair Veteran” label, creating an exclusive identity mark for long-time participating buyers. A one-stop service center will be established, offering services such as demand matching and exhibitor/product inquiry. An “Exclusive Reserved Meeting Area” will be added within the “Leading Buyer Enterprises” service zone.

The official Canton Fair mobile app will debut features including AI search, AI note-taking, business card exchange via QR code scanning, and one-click meal ordering. Navigation functionality will cover all 25 exhibition halls and public areas, enabling booth-level precision navigation. The “ASKME” assistant will support AI-powered business transactions and intelligent itinerary planning.

Rich and Diverse Forum Activities

During the fair, nine theme forums will be held, focusing on hot topics such as diverse markets and green trade. New product launch events will gather cutting-edge fields including service robots, green energy storage, smart appliances, and smart healthcare. The CF Award “Hall of Excellence” will make its debut.

Enhanced Branding Effect for Exhibiting Enterprises

This year’s fair has completed a new round of brand booth evaluations. The number of enterprises applying for brand booths exceeded 6,000 for the first time, with approximately 2,770 enterprises selected – representing growth of 21% and 7% respectively compared to the previous evaluation. The average score of selected enterprises’ R&D and innovation projects increased by 9%, reflecting stronger innovation capabilities and higher value.

Global investment promotion has received an enthusiastic response. Approximately 30 Canton Fair global partners have confirmed their participation as group buyers, including the US-China General Chamber of Commerce, the China-Britain Business Council, the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, the Peru-China Chamber of Commerce, and the Australia Victoria State Chamber of Commerce.
